Hongkong & Macau

early morning flight to hongkong. straight bus to novotel kowloon for early check in. brunch at 佐敦粥麵家 right at the doorstep. head off to the peak. one way ticket up by the super steep the peak tram. a visit to Madame Tussaud's Waxworks Museum. stroll around the peak. really pretty view of hongkong's skyline from the top. great weather tho alittle foggy. exciting bus ride down as the sun sets. really pretty houses along the way. great view of the hongkong skyline at night. roasted goose at yung kee. took a walk around lan kwai fong before the day ends.

breakfast at traditional 美都餐室. headed off to pier 4 for the ferry to 南丫島. met a really friendly uncle who walked with us to the pier. he was so chatty altho he just took night shift at the airport and was on the way home to 常州. really mountainous and long walk from 榕樹灣 to 索罟灣. the weather was great maybe just a little bright and shiny. love open shelter ferry rides and bottled coke. dinner at 粗菜馆 just around the corner. dessert at 許留山. there's always space in the stomach for dessert.

check out of novotel kowloon. ferry over to macau! public holiday in hongkong. crazy crowd everywhere. took almost an hour just to clear the customs. totally love Sofitel Macau at Pointe 16. only bad thing is check in is only at 3pm. took a short walk to Senado Sq and St Paul's nearby. lunch at random 茶餐厅 with good hot plate. 真情 on tv. such an old show but we were all nv fail to catch it last time on tv. went up the steps to explore St Paul's with bro. stop by 钜记饼家 for almond biscuits. check in at Sofitel. headed over to the Venetian by shuttle bus. really pretty sky and the whole architectural design. took a walk in the casinos. amazed by the auto da siao table with the big dice jumping in the globe. head back to our hotel. couldnt resist the really nice room.

woke up extra early for breakfast at the famous 金马伦咖啡饼店. loveeeeee the pork cutlet bun, portugese egg tart and bo luo bao. lost count of how many we ate. passed by another bakery. the baker just took out an entire tray of 白糖糕. twice thicker than that in spore and much nicer. St Paul's was less crowded in the early morning. more locals were seen around Senado Sq. caught an early ferry back to kowloon. lunch at 糖朝. really good porridge and a whole bucket of tau huey.

spent the rest of the week around kowloon in mongkok and tsim sha tsui. did crazy shopping in less than 2 hrs. resulted in an additional luggage of good buys. love the food. love the shopping. love hongkong. love family trips! ♥

finally started packing.. and omg packing for one week is no joke! when i pick and choose wad i wanted to wear it was a huge pile on my bed alr.. haha and when i folded all my clothes and pack them neatly into my luggage.. it felt like i didnt pack enuff clothes.. haha especially now that hk's weather is full of uncertainty.. heard on tv that they just realise thunderstorm warning.. ohnooooooo ): i dont mind the bright sunny weather.. but no rain and thunderstorms pleaseeee.. best would be cooling like aircon temp!!

his exams are finally overr!! yehss! hope he'll do well! (: and we manage to find time and woke up extra early for our movie marathon! (:

ironman 2 and ip man 2!! (:

didnt quite agree with quite alot of comments by pple are ironman 2 was disappointing.. perhaps cos pple expected more of the action from ironman.. but i guess just like how Robert Downey Jr mentioned that ironman 2 would be more about protraying the mental aspects and emotions of Tony Stark rather than just the action component.. and well he did manage to pulled that off well! (: just alittle irritated by hammer actually..he kind of talk too much =x hahahah!

ip man 2 was excitinggggg! (: altho i was abit sceptical abt the plot.. cos i found the western boxing vs chinese martial arts theme abit overused.. but eh.. it was that bad actually! maybe becos 甄子丹 is just tooooo awesome!! haha.. he totally fit the role so well!! was clapping and cheering with the rest of the cinemas during most of the fighting scenes.. the duel scene with 洪金寶 on the table was omggg... i think i can repeat that scene a zillion times.. haha..

omgg..why are all the kids hanging out in town now when school holidays havent even started!! they shld just make them go back school for lessons afte their midyr exam =x hahah! more than half of the theatre was filled with kids.. and i must say kids nowadays just dont seem to dress their age.. anw i was so ANNOYED by this bunch of kids sitting behind us during ipman2.. i think its alright to talk to ur fren during the movie but at least be considerate enough to whisper.. on top of that this guy right behind me was laughing at some scenes which i felt was inappropriate to laugh at such as the funeral.. totally no respect at all.. i was thinking he doesnt sound like someone of the same ethnic grp.. cos if he was.. i dont think he will make a joke out of it.. and true enough i was right.. zzzz..
headed over to 313 for lunch in btw our movie marathon.. haha.. rmb the shop name this time round...

Relax Bistro

as usual.. we always over-order.. 2 set lunch and 1 main course.. haha was so excited and determined to try the pork chop with apple sauce.. but it was available..again ): i suspect they took it out of the menu permanently..): arwell.. went for the salmon steak while he had the really good grilled chicken and shared smoked salmon salad.. set lunch came with soup of the day which was clam chowder with like half a bowl of clams.. and completed with english breakfast tea! (:

quite a nice and cozy place to relax and chill... but we had to head back to cine for our movie.. hahah.. didnt stay too long cos town was simply packed with the friday night crowdddddddddd..

feel like sitting on a swing..

where has all the traditional swings and sandy playgrounds disappeared tooo! all thats left now is the plastic slides and rubbery floors... i miss the wooden see-saws tooooo! maybe i should go cycling... miss the feeling of the wind....(:

totally exhuasted.. altho we didnt spend too long in the sun.. cos the rain came down after less than an hour.. zzzz i have no idea why im so tired.. even had slight headache when we walked ard vivo.. felt like my soul wasnt in my body.. just an empty shell walking ard... until a camel jumped right in front of me.. really freaked me out.. hahah.. i realised how much pecklim like to appear in front of pple in the most random way.. haha just like how he suddenly appeared in the background at chompchomp.. haha nv fail to make me go OMG when i see his stoopid face.. arwell.. that shock kind of made me feel better.. like my soul returned.. hahahah! and he said eeyore is pretty cutee! altho he kept poking it... zzzz

suddenly i dunno wad i wanted to blog... hahah.. serious STM!! or maybe the bad weather nowadays are killing my brain cells.. zzzzzz cant stand the heat!! spend practically the past two weeks all over town.. from orchard all the way to city hall.. and i guess i need quite some time for it to recover from all the damage done.. haha

halfday and stay out late with boun ytdy! had early dinner at some restaurant located at 313 level 2 somewhere near cold rock.. the cuisine seems like ultimate fusion.. its menu is a combination of everything! haha.. bouncy had sundried tomate aglio olio while i decided to go for the recommended grilled chicken glazed with honey apricot mustard jam..the food was suprisingly goood and the serving was big! tho it took abit long to come.. haha and they served strawberry flavoured iced water..(: great place to chilled on a lazy afternoon!

shopping was disapointing intially... none of us found stuff we wanted on our never ending shopping list.. hahah.. its always like that when wesearch high and low for the stuff we really want.. we'll nv find it. and once we stop searching.. that item will just miraculously appear in front of you.. zzzzzz... but the day ended well with good buys! just when all the shops are preparing to do their closing.. haha.. chilled at starbucks...i like! (:

met up with dearest miny today.. its like 358270432 yrs since we really gone out? haha.. and she's an unhealthy fren! haha.. its always long johns and kfc with her.. today she reminded me it all started out at Mcdonalds.. the KAP one.. haha.. favourite place to hangout during those ny days! wanted to stay longer but.. had to rush off for tuition tho..): we should really hang out more often!!!! ♥

OMG he really like walked out of the the teevee... hahah sooooooo cuteeeeeeee!! spotted 章缜翔 at taka today.. rmb him for his evil characters in shows like robert zhang!! haha..and he really got that evil look which is quite scary.. or maybe its jsut that he didnt smile.. haha..

The mathematical formula for HAPPINESS: R/E or REALITY divded by EXPECTATIONS.

There are two ways to be happy: improve your reality or lower your expectations. This is based on one universal truth that you always have some expectations of what has to come; E is always a real number, since you cannot divide by zero.

When you inverted the equation - expectations divided by reality - you dont get the opposite of happiness, what you get is HOPE.

Pure logic: Assuming that reality was kept constant, expectation had to be greater than reality to create optimism and a pessimist was someone with expectations lower than that of reality, a fraction of diminishing returns. The human condition meant that this number approached zero without reaching it - you never really gave up on hope.

Someone who is happy would have little need to hope for change. But, conversely, an optimistic person was that way because he wanted to believe in something better than his reality.

YEHS! we're finally at THE HELIX! (:

decided to head down to The Helix after our nihon mura buffet.. haha to work off all the pork from sukiya and all the sushi and sashimi and in our tummies! (:

thankew to the really nice and pro guy for helping us take great shots!! haha.. he even told us where to stand to capture the perfect background!! (: was attempting to put my camera on some stone wall so that we can use the self-timer to take photo..then my camera fell and hit the rocks.. pretty deep scratches..)): but at least the lens wasnt scratch.. gotta survive with my camera!! at least until im back from hk! haha..

SLURPEE is the best drink for the freaking hot day!! (:

FINALLY DONE PACKING!! (:

from noon till 10pm... non stop packing and cleaning.. hahah.. happpyyy with my really neat and dust-free room noww!! (: think i spent more than half the day packing my music albums vcds dvds! haha.. loveeeee my complete jielun collection! and i discovered i have 2 不能说的秘密dvds.. =x and so many of the albums have signatures... omg i cant believe how many events i went to! hahah.. it also reminded me of the secondary school days.. we just spend our time chasing idols! and 音乐日记 still my favourite radio program ever!! saded when ling zhi left..): hahah.. was browsing through my dvds and vcds.. all my favourites! feel like rewatching them all over again.. haha think kids nowadays dont even buy albums anymore.. or do they even know the existence of such things..

something i found while packing my memories.....(: haha i didnt even have to look at the sign off i know the first drawing is done by haydee!! hahah.. the drawing is so her!! and miny tan's egg man.. hahah she actually made a real life egg man! kept all my notebooks during ny days... filled with all the nice phrases i love to scribble here and there! sukiyaaaaaaaaaaaaa! (:

always enjoyed buffets with cheegake!! (: especially sukiya.. their pork is goooood! haha.. there isnt much variety just two small counters of food..but i always felt that its just nice.. suits someone like me who doesnt like long menus.. always have a hard time deciding wad i should eat.. hahah.. headed over to kbox.. 8nett for Khappy! damn shiokkk! but so sad its just for the month of april cos they were celebrating their 8th yr anniversary! hope they have more of such promotions again! (: didnt get to stay till 7pm.. but 3 whole hrs of kbox was quite shag.. hahah mayday caoge liangjingru FIR.. had funnnn and sang nice songs!! (: wandered ard suntec and snacking.. haha auntie annie's and shi lin chicken.. next time we're definitely going to get the cinnamon raisin and mee sua.. hahah (: cant wait for our sushi buffet!! (: and swimming please.. hahahah

two great bands within a week!

haha i have really spontaneous friends.. just a random call from kw and a msg from sq in the afternoon.. raffles city (above city hall mrt) not raffles place at 7pm.. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.. hahah! and all of us met up that night.. we were at wala last night.. and last night we decided to visit substation! (: first time i saw an aluminium heinkein bottle! looks quite cool.. and i guess at least it doesnt break when it lands on someone's head.. hahah figured out last friday's band was jack and rai...a really great band!! (: and so was last night's band at timbre.. good fellas!! haha.. they did bohemian rhapsody and.. the camel lookalike (not i say one..haha) vocalist mang is omggggggggggggg.. haha they really ended off with a bang.. when they went rah rah ah ah ah ah.. roma roma ma maaa.. ga ga ooh la la.. want your bad romanceeeeee! haha.. love the good music and great company! (:
